Official Partnership between emst and Navtech Radar for Slovakia and the Czech Republic

emst s.r.o. is an official partner of Navtech Radar for Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The partnership combines emst’s extensive experience in motorway and tunnel technologies with Navtech’s radar technology designed for traffic monitoring and automatic incident detection.

Navtech Radar specialises in 360° radar systems used, among other applications, to improve road safety. Its ClearWay system enables the automatic detection of incidents such as stopped or slow-moving vehicles, wrong-way driving, or pedestrians within the monitored area. Radar technology also allows roads to be monitored reliably in adverse weather and poor visibility conditions.

For emst, this partnership is a natural continuation of our activities in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems, traffic management and the integration of technological equipment into higher-level control systems.

Our role is not to view radar as a standalone device. What matters most is the information it can provide to the entire traffic management system - from incident detection and localisation to the operator’s response or automatic integration with other technologies.

As mentioned in our previous article, we have already had the opportunity to verify the capabilities of Navtech radar technology in real-world conditions. In May 2026, in cooperation with Betamont s.r.o., we organised a practical demonstration of the system on the R1 expressway near Banská Bystrica, where we tested its response to several simulated traffic situations.

Our partnership with Navtech Radar enables us to bring these solutions closer to customers in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, while combining them with our experience in automation, SCADA systems and traffic technologies.

Our shared goal is to use radar data where it can deliver the greatest value - faster identification of hazardous situations and improved road safety.
